Description
Forager bees bring pollen back to their hive, where it is passed to other bees who pack it down in wax cells. Variations in color and chemical makeup occur based on the plant where the pollen is collected. This colorful protein is used as food for the bees and larvae inside the hive.
People use bee pollen as an additive in smoothies, cereals, salads and drinks.
